A Simple Gift That Families Use Every Day

Bucket of Love is one of our signature programs. We fill sturdy KMJ Foundation buckets with food and everyday essentials and give them directly to the people who need them most, especially women, elders and families caring for children.

The bucket itself stays useful long after the items inside are gone, for carrying and storing water and for daily household tasks. Every bucket is handed over in person by our team.

2019

Our First Buckets

At our December 2019 medical outreach in Ekenobizi Umuopara, families received Bucket of Love gifts along with free health care.

2023

Distribution in Ekenobizi

In June 2023 we lined up rows of buckets outside the local primary health care center and handed them to women and families one by one.

2024

Christmas Eve Outreach

On December 24, 2024 our team shared gifts and essentials with women and elders for the holiday season.

Who receives a Bucket of Love?

We focus on women, elders and families caring for children in the communities where we work in Abia State. We work with local leaders to reach the households that need help the most.

Can I sponsor buckets for a distribution?

Yes. Make a donation and add a note that it is for Bucket of Love, or contact us to talk about sponsoring a full distribution.

Bucket of Love: Food and Essentials for Families in Nigeria

Bucket of Love is a KMJ Foundation program that helps families in Nigeria with buckets of food and everyday essentials. Our team has handed out buckets in Abia State at our 2019 medical outreach, at a 2023 distribution in Ekenobizi and during our 2024 Christmas Eve outreach.
